New Clients
Looking for a vet? West Davis Veterinary Center is welcoming new patients! You can now book your pet’s appointment online here. Due to an increasing number of no-shows, a deposit is required in order to schedule a new client/patient appointment. This deposit goes towards the cost of the exam with a veterinarian. The deposit can be refunded if you contact us within 24 hours of sending your deposit. However, the deposit is non-refundable for a same-day appointment or any missed appointments.
Accepted Forms of Payment
We take all major credit cards, debit, cash and Care Credit. Checks are accepted from established clients. Payment is expected in full at the time of service. Online payments via our practice software is available and we can send a request to either your email or cell phone on file.
Cancellations/No Shows
Due to the high volume of appointments, we ask for at least 24 hours notice for canceling your pet’s appointment. If you no-show for your pet’s appointment 3 times, we will require pre-payment of the cost of the exam prior to scheduling another appointment.
Pet Travel Certificates
South Davis Veterinary Center has 2 USDA accredited veterinarians who issue domestic and international health certificates. Due to the extensive work and time it takes to process certificates, we require a deposit prior to confirmation of an appointment. Please see our Pet Travel Certificates page for more detailed information.
Medication & Sharps Disposal
We understand that you may have or end up with unused veterinary medications. Due to Title 16 of the California Pharmacy laws, we are unable to take back this medication, as our hospital is not a licensed disposal facility.
If you have unused veterinary prescription medications, these are your legal options for disposal:
- Visit www.dontrushtoflush.org to search your local area for drop boxes for this program.
- Please call ahead if you have controlled substances (such as Buprenex or Tramadol) or sharps/needle to dispose, as only some of these places can take those items.
